New Products With Life has launched and now I’m here to present you with our initial post. I’m sure many of you have heard about peppermint oil before. It’s supposed to have a number of interesting qualities and can be used in many different ways.
Typically you might use it as a sort of massage oil and rub it into your skin from time to time to keep it nice and soft. Some may also use it as a kind of air freshener. This can be accomplished in a number of ways. You might simply want to spray some of it around your house. Alternatively you could boil up a large pan of water in your kitchen and pour a small amount of the oil into that boiling water. This tends to spread the intoxicating aromas around your house.
Another option is to buy something called a diffuser, or oil dispenser. This is a machine that allows you to pour your oil into it. It then sprays out the oil at different intervals. This is pretty handy as it means you don’t have to put a pan of water on the boil every time you want to make your house smell nice.
What’s even more astonishing is that an oil made from peppermint also have other uses. Did you know that they’re actually pretty handy repellents of insects and rodents? I’m not that well versed with the process, but to my understanding all you have to do is swab the areas where particular insects or rodents appear to be leaving and entering your home, or areas that seem to attract them the most.
Last but not least, it seems peppermint extract is not so bad when used as a disinfectant either. Who would have guessed that? That means whenever you’re tidying up your kitchen and wipe down the surfaces, its worthwhile dabbing a bit of the oil onto a cloth and running that across your surfaces while your at it.
I’d just done a bit of reading on a couple of websites, and it seems the list of uses goes on. Apparently you can add it to your wash whenever you are using your dishwasher or washing machine, and also use it in the bath to create that relaxing aroma.
This might just be one of the most versatile products out there at the moment, so I hope you now understand why I had to mention it.
